Cathi Bosco
Designer | UX Reseracher
Originally from Colorado, I currently live and work in Woodbridge, Connecticut where I have been working full time from my studio for the last 20+ years. I am a merit scholar and graduate from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where my studies focused on Sculpture, Drawing & Time Arts. As a working artist, illustrator, photographer, publisher and designer, the projects, subjects and work objectives have changed over time as my passion, artistry and skills have sharpened with new experiences, resources and challenges. I love a good challenge!
What excites me most? Empowering others with our resources and skill sets. My specialty is creating beautiful and cohesive web presence packages with awesome UX that serve and convert audiences. Our websites are built on the Genesis Framework and they function exceptionally well for a wide range of programs, communities, organizations and companies.
Design tools include “old school” paper & pencil as well as Sketch, The Adobe Suite software programs, CSS, PHP, HTML, digital photography to name a few. I find myself drawn towards designing for the web. The work is extremely rewarding especially working with teams in a wide range of “verticals” from agencies and entrepreneurs to developers. My team loves to empower them with emerging resources and exciting new technology integrations. We give strategy advice, consult, design branding platforms and develop apps and websites for you! If you have an unusual challenge – we are all ears… tell us about your project and ideas! We don’t take on each and every proposal that comes along, but if we feel we can add value to your plans or programs, we’ll gladly get you a quote and get to work for you.
I am a member of the SCBWI Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the NESCBWI New England Connections SCBWI where you can learn more about visiting artist/author speaking engagements and opportunities, The Shoreline Arts Alliance SAA and The Independent Book Publishing Association IBPA among many other arts and publishing organizations. My photography and photojournalism work has been recognized by The Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists’ annual excellence in journalism awards for published magazine covers and for photo-journalism stories. I am the Founding Partner and Creative Director of this specialized creative design studio, C & D Studios, Madison, CT. We deliver web design/presence, identity, branding, logos, photography and illustration for clients internationally. I also exhibit occasionally with several art galleries throughout New England. As an illustrator I may be best known for my work illustrating College Mascots for the CBC Collection – officially licensed and approved Fine Art Illustration work for institutions and retail product lines.
All original Art is all licensed & copyright protected. I also accept a limited few commission portraiture projects annually depending on my exhibition schedule.
It is my privilege and pleasure to create quality design and original art that is a reflection of what inspires, enhances and reveals our primal, collective and individual human experiences. I love to illustrate what our hearts are passionate about and I find the exercise of creativity to be a vital function and powerful tool in nurturing health and wholeness. -CB

Fine Art Exhibitions:
November 2nd, 2012- December 1, 2012 – Reynolds Fine Art Gallery New Haven, CT
Gallery Exhibition: The Line, an exhibition that examines the purpose and life of drawing in relation to art-making. This group exhibition will feature the work of twelve different national artists whose use of the medium in this context broadens the boundaries typically associated with its name.
Ranging from studies to full completion, all pieces are works of art. From realist to abstract expressionist, these drawings are evidence of the flexibility and transformative nature of drawing. Whether it be through the use of graphite, ink, metal point, pastel, or even embroidered thread, each artist in this exhibition has offered their interpretation of The Line in their own way.
The artists featured in this exhibition are Dennis Angel, Anna Held Audette, Cathi Bosco, Jane Catlin, Beverly Gardner, Robert Reynolds, Geoff Silvis, Rick Stevens, Daphne Taylor, Sandra Vlock, Susan Weinreich, and Injoo Whang.
