We’ve got another LIVE one! Please help us to welcome www.HistoricGuilford.org to the internet. This group is really cool. Here is a little info about their programs…. here is some info from their web site.

“This website, Historic Guilford, is where the Guilford Preservation Alliance’s Heritage Tourism Initiative has its home and serves as a clearinghouse for information about the HTI, its programs and its evolving plans for developing a heritage tourism component to our local economy. This summer’s inaugural tourism program will be our Historic Guilford Walking Tours, which will feature several differently themed walking tours of Guilford’s historic town Green and its environs. The tours will be led by Guilford High School students trained to be thoroughly knowledgeable guides to downtown Guilford’s historic architectural styles, personalities and stories and will introduce interested residents and visitors to Guilford’s unique collection of house museums along its route.”

We are pleased to have created their web site, logo, collateral materials, Facebook page and Twitter page. We strongly encourage you to follow them via twitter so you can get a little tweet every time they update their blog. Lot’s of very interesting things to learn about this local and historically rich community. Thank you Guilford Preservation Alliance for all of your hard work – we all look forward to your blog posts!

This site was a fun challenge to create because they had a static html site. Reynolds Fine Art Gallery wanted to have it transformed and exactly duplicated onto the WordPress platform. Why you ask? Because they wanted to be able to update their own site of course. Not a problem…. I love a challenge and it was great to work with Robert and Denise on this project. Our training sessions were fun via a screen sharing program and talking with them on line as we went over the basics of the WordPress Dashboard and their specific theme. Our training sessions on-line were like talking to two sports fans reporting from the championship game. High fives – cheering laughing – amazed and thrilled to be part of the winning team. One could practically smell those ball park hot dogs in the air while we worked together. We were working on a tight deadline and we were able to get the job done in the minimal stlye Reynolds Fine Art Gallery’s job required. They always have great shows and events happening so I have included a recent flyer with a exciting upcoming exhibit – a “close down the entire street” kind of …SHOW!!

Congratulations to Anita for taking her new website LIVE last week!

This new website is very “state of the art” as well – it features all of the interactive aspects of a WordPress  content management system and it is “Responsive!” That’s right this is one of the first few sites we have designed and published that features Responsive Design. That just means her site responds to whatever device you are using to view it, tablet, desktop, smart phone Iphones or Androids etc etc… We are pleased to have created this site for Anita along with her new logo including a photography session. Check her site  out – she will be blogging too. We love the nice page curls in this design…. cool!

Please help us welcome Faulkner’s Light Brigade LIVE with their new interactive website!

This is a very special organization that you can become a supporting member of. This group preserves and protects the historic Faulkner’s Light House on Faulkner’s Island. They are installing a web camera and weather station later this year that will also be featured on their new website.  This group also works with The US Fish and Wildlife to protect the migrating Terns in the spring. Hopefully they will be able to provide a web cam in time for us to share the incredible migration and nesting season on the island. One species is endangered and the island took a major hit with hurricane Irene last year. If you would like to become a member or make a donation or even sponsor the web cam project please contact them ASAP!

We are pleased to help train their volunteer web master Susan Weady of Royal Printing in Guilford CT to update and manage their site “in house”. We have been very pleased to produce this new website for the group and our shoreline community. You can subscribe to their site to receive email notifications about news and upcoming events there. This is the kind of site that will grow and breath with their community and it is a great group to join!
